Your Trusted Estate Planning Partner

At S&J Law, we pride ourselves on exceptional customer service and tailoring our estate planning services to fit the needs of the client. Whether you have decided to get an estate plan because you are getting older in years, have young children, have a special needs family member, or want your estate to avoid the formal probate process, we can help you achieve your goals. We take great pride in the fact that we do not have a one size fits all estate planning process. Consequently, our firm does not have a production line mentality that tries to push out the same generalized work product in the least amount of time possible. Instead, our mission is to build relationships while helping you to protect you and yours.

It is our experience that estate planning sits on a very peculiar crossroads involving death, taxes, and counseling. Most individuals are conflicted in that they know they need to do their estate plan, but would prefer to avoid the conversation if at all possible. If we are being honest, it would be odd if someone looked forward to talking about their own mortality, dividing up all of their resources, their potential financial missteps, or expose the inner workings of their family dynamic.  So why should someone go through this process? Unfortunately, because the day will come where your family will either be grateful that you have a properly executed estate plan in place or they will go through the worry, frustration, and stress of hiring an attorney to sort out your estate while in mourning.  We do not want the second option for you or your family. We receive too many of these types of calls and implore you to take action.

Our approach when addressing this heavy conversation is to let the client determine how far they want to take their estate planning. We have worked with clients who wanted to spend as little time as possible working on their estate plan. As a result, the client authorized their appointed agents with maximum discretion and directed the agents to distribute estate assets free and clear upon the client’s passing. We have worked with other clients that wanted to spend hours with us strategizing and planning for various hypothetical situations and laying out specific management guidelines for their agents to follow. Of course, when needed we will highlight certain issues that must be addressed, but absent of that we will tailor your estate plan to your wants and needs.

If you have made it this far, please do us and yourself a favor. Hold your breath, hit the contact now option at the top of the page or fill out the contact us form below, and send us a message with your contact info and schedule a free consultation where we can give you an overview of what your estate plan can do for you. Remember estate planning can be overwhelming so it should be taken in baby steps. We commit to guide you through the process at your pace, but encourage you to make consistent forward progress. We look forward to talking to you!
